Connect WordPress to publish your blog
Link your WordPress site so AltrIQ Reach can publish blog posts straight to it — in one click, or manually with an Application Password.
Once WordPress is connected, any blog post you approve in Reach can publish directly to your site — no copy-paste. There are two ways to connect: the one-click flow, or a manual Application Password.
Open the WordPress connection
In Reach, go to Blog & Content (or Settings). Find the WordPress card and click Connect in one click.
Prefer to connect manually? Open your WordPress profile
Click Enter WordPress details manually instead. Then, in a new tab, open your site's /wp-admin/profile.php page and sign in if asked.
Create an Application Password
Scroll to Application Passwords, type a name like AltrIQ Reach, and click Add New Application Password. WordPress shows a password like abcd EFGH ijkl MNOP — copy it now, it appears only once (the spaces are fine).
Paste it into Reach
Back in Reach, enter your WordPress username (or email) and paste the Application Password, then click Connect manually. You'll see "Publishing to your site is ready."
💡 Tips
- Application Passwords need WordPress 5.6+ and an HTTPS site. Most modern hosts have both.
- On WordPress.com, Application Passwords are available on Business plans and above.
Frequently asked
Is it safe to share an Application Password?
Yes — it only grants API access to publish content, never your account login, and you can delete it in WordPress at any time to instantly cut access.
The "one-click" connect did not work. What now?
Use the manual Application Password method above — it works on virtually every self-hosted WordPress site.
Where do published posts appear?
As normal WordPress posts, so they inherit your theme, categories and SEO plugin settings automatically.
